Abstract:
To provide a machine tool making it possible to diminish correction work to be performed by an operator for the purpose of generating a highly precise processing route.SOLUTION: A machine tool performs an approach motion of causing a main shaft to approach the perimeter of a master workpiece along a reference route on an external or internal circumference of the master workpiece determined based on plural reference points, and determines whether a tool comes into contact with the perimeter during the approach motion. When the tool comes into contact with the perimeter, the machine tool acquires the coordinates of the main shaft, performs a receding motion of causing the main shaft to recede from the reference route in a receding angle direction or a direction of a predetermined angle, performs the approach motion and receding motion, acquires the coordinates of the main shaft every time the tool comes into contact with the perimeter during the approach motion, generates a processing route of the main shaft on the basis of plural sets of coordinates, computes a reference angle that is an angle defined with the coordinates of the main shaft and the coordinates of the reference point, determines whether the receding angle is larger or smaller than a border angle that is 180 degrees or an angle based on the reference angle, corrects the receding angle on the basis of a result of the determination and a predetermined angle, and then performs the receding motion using the corrected receding angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
