To provide a control device of a plant capable of improving controllability by accurately approximating a characteristic of a control object model to a characteristic of the plant being an actual control object and by employing a short cycle for a control cycle.
A sampling cycle is set longer than the control cycle according to an operation frequency of the plant; and the plant is modeled by using the sampling cycle. A model parameter representing the characteristic of the modeled control object model is identified in real time, and the plant is controlled by using the identified model parameter. The identification calculation of the model parameter is executed at a cycle longer than the control cycle. Thereby, the characteristic of the control object model is accurately approximated to the characteristic of the plant.
