Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize an environment in which a multi-media equipment can be transmissibly used from the other controller through an LAN without necessitating any special software such as an application soft or a device driver in the control of a multi-media equipment. CONSTITUTION:This system is constituted of plural peripheral equipments 2, 2,... being objects, and a controller 1 connected through a common communication line with the plural peripheral equipments 2, 2,..., which synthetically controls the plural peripheral equipments 2, 2,.... The controller 1 reads control information stored in the peripheral equipment side through the communication line in a prescribed configuration in a prescribed memory area in the controller 1 according to the connection of each peripheral equipment 2 with the controller 1, controls the peripheral equipments 2 at the controller 1 side, and transmits a command issued at the controller 1 side through the communication line to each peripheral equipment 2.
