PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive controller capable of fault diagnosis.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: The controller according to the present invention includes a first control unit and a second control unit, each having a pair of a main controller and a sub controller with a lower arithmetic processing capacity. The first and second control units can directly control a control target, which makes a central processor unnecessary. Since the sub controller has a lower arithmetic processing capacity than the main controller, an inexpensive micro computer can be used as the sub controller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
