To provide the control method and controller of a multi-axis exciter and a single axis exciter capable of realizing pure translation motion without identifying a transfer function matrix.
The multi-axis exciter A is provided with plural exciters 1 and 2 for which excitation axes are mutually different. At the time of exciting a specimen (w) only in a main axial direction, while the single axis control of the exciting axial direction is performed to a main axis exciter 1, control is performed so as to make a subordinate axis exciter 2 cancel crosstalk motion generated in the excitation axial direction of the subordinate axis exciter 2 by the operation of the main axis exciter 1. Preferably, a noise canceler 6 for controlling the subordinate axis exciter 2 is constituted of an adaptive filter for which the response signals of main axis control are input signals and the response signals of subordinate axis control are error signals.
