To provide a control method of a cooling device for cooling the cooling water in an evaporation tank without controlling driving rotational frequency of a water vapor compressing means and a cooling water inflow amount to the evaporation tank even when a cooling condition is changed.
In this cooling device 1 cooling a cooled object 2 while using the water as a refrigerant, the water vapor in the evaporation tank 31 is sucked and compressed by the water vapor compressing means 32 to cool the cooling water in the evaporation tank 31 and to distribute the same to the cooled object 2 through a cooling water tank 41. As cooling capacity by the water vapor compressing means 32 is automatically adjusted on the basis of properties of water vapor according to the change of cooling condition even when the cooling condition is changed, the cooling water in the evaporation tank 31 can be properly cooled without adjusting the driving rotational frequency of the water vapor compressing means 32 and the cooling water inflow amount to the evaporation tank 31.
