PURPOSE: To facilitate the operation of operator, and concurrently, attempt the enhancement of reliability by combining a copier with a micro-computer, and issuing each instruction with a single switch.

CONSTITUTION: Copier 1 is provided with switches and indicating lamps all of which cause copying processes, such as, charging, exposure, development, transferring, and fixing, etc. to start. Micro-computor 2 combined therewith is provided with central processing unit CPU, read on memory ROM, random access memory RAM, and input/output device I/O. This ROM memorizes programs, such as, copying process, photoreceptor change process, and copier 1 action check process, etc. and the switch SW of the copier 1 is connected to input port of I/O while lamp L is connected to output port thereof. By this means, the single switch can issue the start, change, and check instructions, respectively, hence the operation of the operator can be made so easy that its reliability can be enhanced.
