This control method for the false twister is characterized in that a characteristic value found from a component of a specific frequency region related to the characteristics of the original yarn package of the untwist tension according to each original yarn package, a case where the characteristic value is changed from a preset control value by a prescribed value or more is detected as a control phenomenon to store the generation time point, and the time series generation distribution of the control phenomenon about the original yarn package of a designated control range is displayed according to the request. This control device for the false twister implements it.
