Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a compressed air foam system (CAFS), capable of preventing lubrication oil of a compressor included in the compressed air foam system from being emulsified.SOLUTION: A compressed air foam system 1 capable of selecting foam water spray of spraying fire foam obtained by foam forming by blowing compressed air into mixed liquid of a fire-extinguishing agent and pressure water discharged by a water pump 10 and normal water spray of spraying the pressure water discharged by the water pump 10 as it is starts drive of a main body 31 of a compressor at the same time as the water pump 10 starts; even after the normal water spray is started by selecting the normal water spray, discharges compressed air inside a receiver tank 32 to the ambient air and continues the drive of the main body 31 of the compressor in a state in which an air intake path is closed by an unloader valve 33; and sufficiently warms the compressor until its temperature reaches a temperature at which drain is separated from lubrication oil to reduce power required for the drive of the main body 31 of the compressor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
