PURPOSE: To enable indication of the size of all type of copy papers thus to improve the operationability by setting the size of copy paper in plural paper stacking sections arranged in longitudinal direction through keys on an operating panel and storing the size in nonvolatile RAM.
CONSTITUTION: A paper feed apparatus 200 to be sued together with a copy machine body 100 is internally arranged with plural paper stacking sections 26W31 in the longitudinal direction where the stacking sections 26W30 except the fixed stacking section 31 can move to the right and left. While a paper feed unit 23 is provided liftably/lowerably along the front edges of the paper stacking sections 26W31 and movable to the paper stacking sections 26W31 selected by the user. Here, copy paper size set keys are provided on the operating panel (not shown) to enable setting of the size of copy paper in respective paper mounting section 26W31 and to store the setting copy paper size in a nonvolatile RAM (not shown).
