To provide a control method for a stationary reactive power compensator capable of suppressing voltage fluctuations in an ordinary distribution system with high accuracy, without a mutual interference with the voltage control of an automatic voltage regulator attached to a generator in the case that the generator is connected directly with the ordinary distribution system.
In a circuit configuration including the generator connected with a power system, a rotor load generating a voltage drop in its neighborhood at the time of starting, and the stationary reactive power compensator for compensating for the voltage drop; a current signal of a rotating machine load is used as a control signal to the stationary type reactive power compensator together with a voltage signal detected from a bus-bar subjected to voltage fluctuation control.
