PURPOSE: To provide a control method for temperature in an incinerator wherein when municipal refuse and industrial waste are incinerated by a refuse incinerator, the occurrence of unevenness in temperature on the same horizontal plane in the incinerator is sharply reduced and temperature in the incinerator is controllable with high precision.
CONSTITUTION: When temperature in a refuse incinerator having a primary combustion chamber and a secondary combustion chamber 2 located thereabove connected thereto is controlled, temperature is detected by means of temperature sensors 8A, 8B, 8C, and 8D in positions above four vertical section zones A, B, C, and D, respectively, of which the secondary combustion chamber 2 consists. According to the magnitude of a detecting temperature, amounts of spray water through water spray nozzles 6A, 6B, 6C, and 6D and/or amounts of cooling air through secondary air feed nozzles 5A, 5B, 5C, and 5D are controlled independently in positions below the zones A, B, C, and D by a control device.
