PURPOSE: To accurately stop an article holding tool at a predetermined point of the end part of a guide rail of a pallet loading device.

CONSTITUTION: Two sensors 3, 4 are provided in a separated manner from one another, on the end part of a guide rail 2, and a sensor body 5 wider than the distance between the sensors 3 and 4 is provided on an article holding tool 1. When a first sensor 3 is turned ON by the sensor body 5, the transfer velocity of the article holding tool 1 is lowered, and when a second sensor 4 is turned ON, an electromagnet brake 6 is applied, to stop movement of the article holding tool 1. When the article holding tool 1 is further moved in the end direction of the guide rail 2 to turn OFF the first sensor 3, power supply to a driving motor and to a controller is disconnected, and is stopped emergency.
