Abstract:

To find out a more effective control method of animal parasites as soon as possible since current methods for treatment and control of parasites are deteriorating in their effect because tolerance to current commercial parasiticides such as benzimidazole-based one and ivermectin-based one is increasing, although the control of animal parasites is crucial particularly in fields of food production and pet animals.

Disclosed are a 2-phenyl-3-(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)acrylonitrile compound useful for controlling parasites in animals, and a method for treatment by using the compound invading parasites in animals. In one embodiment, a method is provided for treating, preventing, inhibiting and/or killing external and internal parasites using one or a plurality of identified 2-phenyl-3-(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)acrylonitrile compounds being effective anti-parasitic agents.
