PURPOSE: To provide a thermosensitive recording device without a gap between lines which are recorded by a thermosensitive recording head.

CONSTITUTION: If image data equal to 100 lines recorded in image memory is recorded 17 a thermosensitive recording head 1, a transport roller 2 is caused to rotate forward by a roller control part 3 through an unillustrated motor to transport a recording sheet 5 forward line by line. When the thermosensitive recording head 1 once suspends a data recording action, the roller control part 3 reverses the transport roller 2 through a motor and does not allow a gap to develop between lines which are recorded, if the recording of data is once suspended and is restarted.
