Title:
CONTROL ROD POSITION DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3272448
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a detector for continuously detecting the position of a control rod over its whole stroke in a control rod driving mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: For a detector, a noncontact displacement sensor 15 is used. The displacement sensor 15 is fixed to a housing 5a and a sensor probe 15a consisting of magnetic distortion lines extends downward to a control rod drive axis 19. On the other hand from a control rod 6, a position detection rod 13 penetrates the control rod drive axis 19 and extends upward, and at its upper end, a magnet 14 is placed. The position detection rod 13 and the sensor probe 15a have an overlap equivalent to the stroke of the control rod so that the position of a magnet moving along the sensor probe can be detected continuously within its travel.
