PURPOSE: To enable to read in the card in which the mark and hole information are in mixture without selecting the processing circuit corresponding to the number of input data, by the fixed control of specified constant for the data number of one card transmitted to the data processing circuit.

CONSTITUTION: The data signals 13a to 13l in which the mark information and hole information are in mixture are tentatively stored in the data register 10 from the card reader. Further, the counter circuit 4 inputting the strobe signal 14 instructing sampling counts the number of data transfers, this count value is fed to the control circuit 9, and the data in the register 10 is converted into Hollerith code at the binary or code conversion circuit 4 through the selection signal of the control circuit 9 and transferred to the information processor by the selection of the selector switch 1. In this transfer, after reading in the information on the N column card of one sheet, if the count valve M of the counter circuit 4 is smaller than N, N-M is transferred as the blank data.
