PURPOSE: To simplify the cm refreshing action and then realize a trimming of a picture, by securing a simultaneous execution in the different chips for both the data access and the refresh action for the picture memory comprising several units of the dynamic RAM.

CONSTITUTION: The picture memory 36 comprising the dynamic RAMs is divided into the regions of the memories 1W4, and these regions store the picture information corresponding to the regions (a)W(d) each of the original picture. When the memory 1 has the read mode, the chip selection signal, read/write signal and refresh control signal are supplied to the memory 1 from the CPU1. Then the picture information is read sequentially out of the memory 1 and delivered to the laser 43 via the buffer memories 41 and 42. Thus the reproduced picture is obtained only in the region (a) on the recorder substance. In this case, a refreshing action is carried out to the pictures of the memories 2W4.
