Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a pumped storage power plant control system which relates to the operational control of the pumped storage power plant including a variable speed generator-motor, and can avoid the sudden change of an electric power load ranging along the same electric power system at the time when pumping input is altered.
CONSTITUTION: A system controller 26 functions to compensate the sudden change of pumping input occurring annexedly to the starting and stopping of the pumping operation complying with the request of an electric power system 5 of generator-motors 11-13 by controlling the pumping input of a variable speed generator-motor 1. Thus, the sudden change of the pumping input in the whole of the single pumped storage power plant or in the whole of plural number of pumped storage power plant can be sufficiently checked, and the sudden change of electric power load can therefore be surely prevented.
