Abstract:
To provide a control unit that can maintain shake correction performance, while appropriately estimating the amount of offset of shake signals from shake detection means in an interchangeable lens and a camera main body.SOLUTION: A control unit controls a camera system having a first device that is one of a camera main body and an interchangeable lens, and a second device that is the other, and has: estimation means that, by using a first shake signal from first shake detection means provided in the first device and a second shake signal from second shake detection means provided in the second device, estimates a first correction amount of the first shake signal; and determination means that determines whether the first correction amount is effective. When the determination means determines that the first correction amount is effective, the first shake signal is corrected with the use of the first correction amount, and when the determination means determines that the first correction amount is ineffective, the first shake signal is corrected with the use of a second correction amount acquired before the determination is made by the determination means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
