Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject control unit enabling a heald frame to be shed along a desired (ideal) shedding curve through reducing the fluctuation in the load of a driving motor due to the influence of gravity acting during the heald frame's ascending and descending motions.
SOLUTION: This control unit comprises a shedding control computer having such a scheme that there are previously prepared a shedding pattern data housing section P, an ascending control curve Lu preceded to the ideal movement curve L0 for a heald frame by a level corresponding to the action of gravity acting on the heald frame and heald frame movement section, and a descending control curve Ld delayed behind the ideal movement curve by the above level, the heald frame's ascending and descending motions are assessed based on the shedding pattern data, and a command is given based on the result; wherein the control curve Lu or Ld is selected on the basis of a command given by the shedding pattern data housing section.
