PURPOSE: To healthfully operate an automatic lending machine by limiting the loan of specific commodities to users who do not reach a certain age to inhibit the loan of undesirable commodities to minors.

CONSTITUTION: A birth date storage means 6 where birth dates of members are stored, a clock mechanism 12 which generates the present date, and a discriminating means 5 which discriminates whether a member reaches the certain age or not are provided. The age of a member at the time of lending is calculated in accordance with the preliminarily stored birth date of the member and the present date; and when he does not reach the certain age, preliminarily set specific commodities are not lent to him. Thus, commodities which cannot be lent by age are provided to healthfully operate the automatic lending machine.
