Abstract:
PURPOSE:To drive a DC motor, by making the deviation signal between the output of an encoder and a positioning command and changing the deviation signal into a voltage signal and converting the voltage signal into the square root output of the input through a function generator and applying an encoder speed feedback signal to the square root output. CONSTITUTION:A reversible counter 4 counts motor rotation angle signals supplied from the encoder 1 to generate a motor rotation position signal. A subtracter 5 supplies the deviation signal between the motor rotation position signal and the command to the function generator 7 through a D-A converter 6 so that the deviation signal is changed into the square root signal h. An analogue switch 10 functions to apply the output signal of the encoder 1 to an adder 14 only when the output of the subtracter 5 is zero. The adder 14 adds the output signal h of the function generator 7 to that of the analogue switch 10. The difference signal between the added signal and the speed feedback signal 19 is applied to the motor through a saturating element 15. Thereby, the shortest time positioning can be effected without complicated control as double-mode control.
