Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control a device mounted on a vehicle with voice recognition, by separating the device into the first device mountd on the vehicle, which can be controlled only by the voice of a driver, and the second device mounted on the vehicle which can be controlled by the voice of any person on the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:In case a registering person registers a voice instruction, he turns on a speaker designating switch assigned to himself and turns on an input switch 12 to input the voice while keeping a key, which corresponds to the voice instruction to be registered, turned on a keyboard 7, and then, voice waveform data is analyzed through an A/D converter 23 by a CPU24 to extract a feature vector, and a voice pattern is registered in an individual or group area of an RAM26 through an RAM27. When the turns on a voice input switch 12 and one of designating switches 61-63 to input the voice during driving of the vehicle, data from the A/D converter 23 is analyzed by the CPU24 to extract the feature vector, and it is collated with registered data to calculate the degree of resemblance; and if this degree is higher than a certain value and is maximum, a corresponding control output is generated.
