Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve heat insulating properties against sun light, by combining a hollow circular corn and a circular corn in the heat flowing direction from a heat dissipating surface to the outer space and changing the interval between both the corns by driving a bimetal. CONSTITUTION:The driving force of rotation of a bimetal 2 actuated by the temperature of a dissipating surface is changed to linear motion by a gear 7. When the temperature of the dissipating surface 1 rises and dissipated to the outer space, a rod 8 is moved to the outer space side and the interval between the hollow circular corn 9 and the circular corn 10 is expanded, so that the quantity of dissipation is increased. When the temperature of the dissipating surface 1 falls and heat is insulated to the outer space, the rod 8 is moved to the body side of an artifitial satellite and the circular corn 10 comes into contact with the hollow circular corn 9 to insulate the dissipating surface 1 from the outer space. Since the rod 8 is formed like a taper and the hollow circular corn 9 and the circular corn 10 are made of thin plates having specular aluminium surfaces, so that the independence of direction to the sunbeams is improved by adopting these circular corn shapes.
