Abstract:
To optimize a bus band without ensuring an excess bus band even when a compression system in which compressibility is not guaranteed is employed.SOLUTION: A controller comprises: a compressor in which the compressibility for every line is not guaranteed; expansion detection means that detects that a compression result of the compressor for every line is expanded; an expander that expands data compressed by the compressor; a bus arbiter that has a function to switch bus priority; and an image data output unit that can receive output data from the expander without passing through a bus. The image data output unit includes a line buffer that stores the received data for every line, and the bus arbiter changes the bus priority of the expander according to an output from the expansion detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
