Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform DC braking and regenerative discharge control with a simple circuit by operating an induction motor as DC braking with a direct current supplied to an inverter together with regenerative discharge braking. CONSTITUTION:When a brake stop command is applied to the transistors TU- TZ of an inverter INV which drives an induction motor IM, the inverter INV operates the regenerative brake while decreasing the operating frequency. An ON command is applied to a regenerative discharge brake transistor Tr1, which becomes regenerative discharge braking state. When the motor IM becomes low speed range, the transistor Tr1 is turned OFF, and the operation of the inverter INV is stopped. Thereafter, a DC braking transistor Tr2 and the transistor TY of the inverter INV are merely turned ON. Thus, DC braking is applied to the motor IM.
