PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a function of heating a room quickly, which is suitable for a heater, in which the maximum heating value, indicated on the heater, coincides substantially with the maximum hating value of a burner.
SOLUTION: An amount of combustion changing means 8, controlling the heating value of a burner 2 based on temperature data from a temperature setting means 6 and a temperature detecting means 7, is provided. A combustion control means 9, controlling the heating value of the burner 2, ignited by the signal of an operation switch 4, so as to be lower than a predetermined heating value smaller than the maximum heating value forcibly for a predetermined period of time after ignition, is provided and, further, a quick heating combustion means 10, maintaining the highest heating value combustion, bigger than the maximum heating value combustion, for a predetermined period of time when the amount of combustion changing means 8, which released the limit by the combustion control means, has selected the maximum heating value, is provided. On the other hand, the operation of the quick heating means 10 is stopped when a temperature difference between the temperature setting means 6 and the temperature detecting means 7 is small while the quick heating combustion means 10 is brought into operating condition after the detecting temperature of a second temperature detecting means 7a in a frame body 1 has become a specified temperature even when the operation of the combustion control means 9 is finished.
