A controller has an image pick-up section, a discrimination section, a derivation section, and a lighting control section. The image pick-up section generates image data by capturing the image of an object irradiated with light from a light source emitting at least two types of light having different spectral distribution. The discrimination section discriminates the attributes included in the image data generated by the image pick-up section. The derivation section derives the combination of light sources and the lighting ratio, depending on the attributes of an object discriminated by the discrimination section. The lighting control section controls the light sources according to the combination of light sources and the lighting ratio derived by the derivation section.
