PURPOSE: To simplify the circuit constitution and to increase the capacity of a buffer in a controller of a magnetic bubble memory by adding an RAM and two increment counters to a serial/parallel converting circuit.
CONSTITUTION: When data are transferred to a host computer 2 from a magnetic bubble memory device 1, a serial/parallel switch signal terminal 13 is set at L to switch the output of an address multiplexer 12 to the output of upper two bits of a counter 6. Thus an address M0 is selected for a buffer RAM3, and the device 1 transfers the serial data. While the counter 6 has an increment by a rotary magnetic field clock, and therefore addresses M0, M1...M31 are successively selected for the RAM3. Then the data is written to the RAM3. The terminal 13 is set at H, and the address of the RAM3 is selected with two bits of a counter 7. Then the data are successively sent to the computer 2.
