PURPOSE: A safe and simply usable controller effective against noxious nematodes in soil such as meloidogyne incognita, etc. damaging badly crops, containing S-ethyl-N-ethylthiocarbamate as an active ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: A controller containing S-ethyl-N-ethylthio-carbamate as an active ingredient. It is blended with various kinds of carriers and used in any form of emulsion, wettable powder, granule, dust, etc. A solid carrier such as bentonite, or a liquid carrier such as xylene, orthochlorotoluene, etc. is used as the carrier, and the amount of the active ingredient is preferably 5W30wt% in the case of granule and 5W90wt% in the case of oil and emulsion. The active ingredient is obtained by reacting ethylamine with carbonyl sulfide to give an N- ethylthiocarbamic acid amine salt, followed by reacting it with ethylating agent such as ethyl bromide, etc.
