To protect a delivery pipe of a compressor at a low temperature by a method wherein a compressor is operated and when a sensed electric current value is less than a predetermined electric current value, the compressor is stopped.
The controller 1 of a refrigerator inputs the output of a temperature sensor 3 within the refrigerator into a control means 2. The output of the control means 2 is connected to each of a drive means 5 for operating a compressor 4, a drive means 7 for driving a blower 6 in the refrigerator, and a drive means 9 for operating a defrosting device 8. The output of an electric current sensor 10 for sensing electric current to the compressor 4 and a supply voltage sensor 11 for sensing supply voltage applied to the compressor 4 are connected to the control means 2 to input the electric value and supply voltage into the means 2, thereby actuating a drive means 13 for operating an abnormal annunciator 12. As a result, when a sensed current value is less than a predetermined value, the compressor is stopped to protect the delivery pipe thereof at a low temperature.
