PURPOSE: To control speed arbitrarily and to maintain a stop position securely during stop state, by a method wherein a second stepping motor is used for drive control of a first stepping motor.
CONSTITUTION: The drive object such as a machine, a device or the like is connected to a first drive stepping motor 10A, 10B, and driven. If a second stepping motor rotated, for example, by manual operation to any direction at any speed, drive command signal corresponding to this is outputted from the second stepping motor 13A, 13B. This signal is inputted through a pulse oscillation circuit 15A, 15B and a drive command circuit 16A, 16B to a drive circuit 17A, 17B. The first stepping motor 10A, 10B is controlled according to the second stepping motor 13A, 13B.
