PURPOSE: To secure the engine operation even in case of an advertent trouble in a supercharger by installing a control valve into a passage formed so as to make a detour around a mechanical supercharger installed into an intake passage and opening and closing the control valve according to the pressure on the upstream and downstream of a throttle valve.
CONSTITUTION: The second passage 19 for the communication between a surge tank chamber 14 to the passage part between an air cleaner 11 and a supercharger 16 is connected with the first passage 14 into which a supercharger 16 driven by an engine, surge tank chamber 18, and a throttle valve 15 are installed in this order from the upstream side, and the first control valve 20 is installed into the connection part of the passage 19 and the surge tank chamber 18. The first control valve 20 is opened and closed by the differential pressure between the intake negative pressure introduced through the third passage 28 into the first pocket 26 divided by a diaphragm 23 and the positive pressure introduced into the second pocket 27 through the fourth passage 29 in which the second control valve 30 is installed. Further, the second control valve 30 is opened and closed according to the pressure in the surging chamber 18.
