PURPOSE: To secure necessary rotational frequency and suppress noise and enable operation to be performed quietly and comfortably by setting a quiet operation mode, and by regulating the maximum level of rotational frequency of a motor according to the change of a dust quantity, to change the level.
CONSTITUTION: A quiet operation mode 19 is selected by operating a switch 1, and is controlled by a phase controlling circuit 18. Rotational frequency when no dust is detected is set to be lower than that 22 when no dust is detected in a standard mode 20, and sound is quietly set. When a small quantity of dust 23 is detected, then the rotational frequency of a motor is increased by one step, and when a medium quantity 24 of the dust is detected in the same manner, then the rotational frequency is increased by one step more. Then, in any case, the rotational frequency is set to be lower than that in the standard mode 20. When a large quantity 25 of the dust is detected, then the rotational frequency is controlled not to be increased till the level of rotational frequency 21 when the motor is fully electrified, and the then rotational frequency is set to be maximum rotational frequency in the quiet operation mode 19.
