PURPOSE: To make it possible to change a heating value within a unit time of a burner substantially and sharply, to adjust a furnace temperature in a wide range and, in addition, to keep the furnace temperature at an aimed temperature precisely in an industrial furnace using the burner as a heat source.
CONSTITUTION: A continuous combustion type control system which 7 conducts a feedback control of a furnace temperature to be an aimed temperature without stopping combustion of a burner 3, by detecting the furnace temperature and by operating the amounts of air for combustion, fuel, etc., to be supplied to the burner 3, by flow control valves 7 and 8 through the intermediary of a controller 12, and an intermittent combustion type control system to which a shift is made when the amounts of the air for combustion, the fuel, etc., supplied to the burner 3 become smaller than a low flow rate cut point in the course of operation of the continuous combustion type control system, are provided. The intermittent combustion type control system makes the burner 3 burn in a time length corresponding to a necessary amount of operation outputted from the controller 12 at each predetermined period.
