PURPOSE: To control and remove a solid deposit on the component surface by adding a specified volatile amine to a steam generating water phase, vaporizing the amine-contg. water to bring into contact with the surface of the component of a steam generator, repeating the cycle of adsorption and desorption of the amine under specified heat cycle condition.

CONSTITUTION: An effective amt. of at least one kind of volatile amine (amine) is added to a steam generating water phase. The amine has about ≥10.61 kPa (logarithm of the inverse of the electrolyte-acid dissociation const.) at 25°C and is selected from alkylamines, cycloalkylamines and derivs. of these. The water is converted into an amine-contg. steam phase and brought into contact with the surface of a steam generator component in a specified functional part having a function to adsorb inorg. cations and anions so as to selectively adsorb and desorb amines. This process as one cycle is controlled according to the heat cycle that the adsorption cycle is carried out at a temp. about ≥0°C and about <100°C and the desorption cycle is carried out at a temp. about ≥100°C and about <550°C.
