PURPOSE: To correct a positional shift due to oscillation or the like generated at the stop of a rotor, by applying driving voltage again for an only following specified time, to final excitation phase in a state that holding voltage is applied for a given time.
CONSTITUTION: From a control section 1, based on driving command signal on the driving direction and driving quantity from an external device, the output of control pulse according to the driving direction and driving speed is directed to a motor driving circuit 5. After driving voltage is applied to the final excitation phase of a stepping motor 7 on the stopping, holding voltage is applied for a given time, and after that, the driving voltage is applied to the final excitation phase again for a specified time. As a result, a positional shift due to oscillation or the like generated on the stopping of a rotor 8 is corrected, and the rotor is stopped at a specified position.
