To provide a convection type brazing apparatus for metal, such as aluminum, copper or iron-made work piece in which the metal work piece can uniformly be heated to prevent the deformation of the work piece, and the working efficiency can be improved by shortening the heating time.
Heat medium gas heated with a tube heater 36 in a heat medium gas heating chamber 45, is blown on the metal work piece W pre-stuck to brazing filler metal and flux from plurality of nozzles 43 through manifolds 41A, 41B arranged at both sides in the right and left parts with a fan 37. The temperature of the work piece reaches the brazing temperature, and thereafter, the heat medium gas is intermediately blown on the work piece by opening/ closing a switch valve arranged in a duct 48. As a result, the temperature gradient of the work piece is eliminated and the uniform brazing can be performed.
