Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a process for completely eliminating the problems such as corrosion of apparatus with HCl gas and the intrusion of HCl gas into the recovered oil by reacting HCl gas generated by the thermal cracking of waste plastics containing polyvinyl acetate with a dechlorination agent and removing the HCl from the cracked gas in the form of a solid chloride.
CONSTITUTION: This process for the conversion of waste plastics containing polyvinyl chloride into an oil by thermal cracking comprises the reaction of the HCl gas generated by the thermal cracking with a dechlorination agent, the removal of the produced solid chloride from the cracked gas and the recovery of the condensed oil from the cracked gas.
