PURPOSE: To offer a digital/analog converter by which the luminance of a CRT can be controlled to be changed almost lineally corresponding to a gradation.

CONSTITUTION: Resistance groups A and B constituted of weighting resistances RA1-RA3, RB1-RB3, and RC, by which different output inclination characteristics can be obtained by the same input digital signal, are prepared for this converter. Then, the resistance groups A and B the most suited to the objective output inclination characteristic, are selected, and allowed to operate a conversion into an analog signal. Thus, the output characteristic of the converter can be operated by the free inclination, and the control of the CRT can be further practically operated.
