Title:
ANALOG/DIGITAL CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0730423
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an analog/digital converter capable of improving resolution without sharply increasing circuit size.

CONSTITUTION: Reference voltage Vref is divided by plural resistors R to generate plural comparing reference voltage values Vr1 to Vrn, which are compared with an analog input signal Vin by plural comparators. Each comparator is constituted of amplifiers 8a, 8b for amplifying potential differences between the analog input signal Vin and respective comparing reference voltage values Vr1 to Vrn, latch circuits 10, 13 for latching output signals from the amplifiers 8a, 8b and outputting the latched signals as compared values between the signal Vin and the voltage values Vr1 to Vrn and a latch circuit 11 for latching compared values between respective comparing reference voltage values obtained by equally dividing the potential difference of the voltages Vr1 to Vrn and the signal Vin based on output signals from the adjacent amplifiers 8a, 8b.
