PURPOSE: To automatically feed a number of spring members in an orderly- arranged state, by a method wherein two grooves are formed in a convey chute, and the spring member is guided by the inner sides and the upper surface of a weirlike part at the intermediate part thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Grooves 11 and 12, guiding a coillike part 3a and a holder part 3c, respectively, of a spring member 3, and a weirlike part 13 formed at the middle part thereof, are formed in a convey chute 10. When the spring member 3 is placed in the convey chute 10, the coillke part 3a is supported in the deep groove 11, and the holder part 3c is supported in the shallow groove 12, and an arm part 3b is supported to an upper surface 13a of the weirlike part 13. A distance between sides 11b and 12b of the deep and shallow grooves 11 and 12 is slightly decreased over the size of an arm part 3b, and this prevents the spring members 3 from disturbing its orientation to the convey chute 10, and maintains an orderly-arranged state.
