To provide a transport device capable of smoothly transporting an object to be transported that is inserted to a rail, while supporting the rail.SOLUTION: A transport device 1 for transporting an object 9 to be transported forming an opening 91 is equipped with: a linear rail 2 which is formed insertably to the opening 91 of the object 9 to be transported, in order to guide the inserted object 9 to be transported; and opening and closing mechanisms 3 which are formed to be openable and closable, and when being in the closed state, hold the rail 2 to inhibit movement of the object 9 to be transported, and when being in the open state, permit passage of the object 9 to be transported.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
