Abstract:
PURPOSE: To determine a height determination procedure which is secure and speedy if a fault occurs during the replenishing and collecting operation of media.
CONSTITUTION: If the conveyance fault occurs while an automatic transaction device 1 and a medium replenishing and collecting machine 2 are connected and the replenishing or collecting operation is in process, the media on the conveyance path are all conveyed to and stored in, for example, a money reception/payment safe 13. Media which can not be conveyed are previously removed and manually put in a rejection cassette 14. Then the effective height of the media put in a safe 21 for replenishment and collection and the money reception/payment safe 13 is counted and then the media put in the rejection cassette 14 are considered to confirm the height of media after the fault occurrence.
