PURPOSE: To improve workability of work for removing a conveyed object from a conveying route by providing a connecting means which connects a plurality of rotary driving units to each other at an abnormality stop when abnormality is generated in moving the conveyed object.

CONSTITUTION: When a paper jam is generated in a process of conveying a copy paper form, an abnormality display of the paper jam is performed while interrupting a control over each drive roller 14, 15, 17, in a control unit of a copying machine main unit. Here an operation signal from the above- mentioned control unit is further output to connecting condition selecting electromagnetic clutches 42, 43, and the rollers 14, 15, 17 are selected in a mutually connected condition through the third timing belt 44. As a result, in the case of moving the copy paper form, generated with the jam, to an easy removal position after a paper feed conveying unit 3 is drawn out from the copying machine main unit, all the rollers, arranged along a paper feed conveying path, are rotated through first and second timing belts 21, 22 from the belt 44 by manually rotating a rotary knob 45.
