Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a conveyor belt which can improve productivity by reducing troublesomeness in a process for manufacturing the conveyor belt comprising a tension-member layer constituted of steel cords.SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for a conveyor belt 1, wefts which cross a number of steel cords lined side by side are arranged at intervals in a longitudinal direction of the steel cords, and a tension-member layer 2 having the steel cords connected to each other with the wefts is prepared; a primary compact 4, molded by arranging vertically an unvulcanized cushion rubber 3 across the tension-member layer 2, is heated at a preliminary vulcanization temperature and pressurized at preliminary vulcanization pressure and thereby preliminarily vulcanized; and a compact 7, molded by vertically arranging unvulcanized cover rubbers 5 and 6 across the preliminary vulcanized primary compact 4, is heated at a temperature higher than the preliminary vulcanization temperature and pressurized at pressure higher than the preliminary vulcanization pressure and thereby preliminarily vulcanized, so that the steel cords are extended in a longitudinal direction of the belt and buried there.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
