To solve the problem that in a conveyor equipped with a residue preventing plate, transferring articles leak from the residue preventing plate, and when a gap between a case of the conveyor and the residue preventing plate is made small to prevent leaking, attaching/detaching or transferring of the plate to/from the case is difficult.

The conveyor 1 is equipped with a conveyor chain 3 wound around sprockets inside the case 2 and equipped with a scraper, a sprocket transferring means in the longitudinal direction equipped to at least one of the sprockets 20, and the residue preventing plate 24 having a curved part in a form to follow the track of a tip part of the scraper of the sprocket 20 equipped with the sprocket transferring means. The curved part of the residue preventing plate 24 is opposed to the scraper with a space in between, and is arranged near the sprocket 20 with a gap between the inner surface of the case 2. The conveyor 1 is composed so that the gap is sealed with a seal member 45.
