Title:
COOKING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0994170
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a cooking apparatus equipped with a heating means and a temp. sensor capable of moving to sense the temp. of a food material, which is prevented from being over-heated by furnishing a control means to stop the operation of a heating means when the temp. sensor being out of the measuring place is sensed.

A deep pan 14 accommodating a frying oil is placed on a cooking plate 15, and an arm 23 is tumbled by hand so that a probe 16 is turned from the standby position B to the measuring position A. If then a power switch is turned on, current is fed to a solenoid coil 17 and the cooking is started. If the user has forgotten to tumble the arm 23, a microswitch 33 remains off and no current is fed to the coil 17. Also in case the pan 14 is not placed on the plate 15, no current will be fed to the coil 17. When the coil 17 is fed with current, the frying oil in the pan 14 is heated, and the material is put in the oil at the time the oil gets proper temperature. Thus the cooking takes place.
