PURPOSE: To provide a cooking oven for cooking food with application of heat by use of a microprocessor, which is capable of keeping the capacity of a RAM constant irrespective of increasing of cooking data, by transmitting cooking data given from external equipment to the RAM in the main body of the cooking oven.
CONSTITUTION: A cooking oven of this invention comprises a display section 15 for displaying cooking information and other data, a display control section 18 for controlling the display section 15, an input section 16 consisting of keys, a microprocessor 1 for executing computation according to the control sequence stored in a ROM2, a RAM3 for storing cooking data, etc. The microprocessor 1 is provided with a HOLD terminal 8, so that an address terminal 10, a data terminal 11, etc. of the microprocessor 1 are kept in a high-impedance state by transmitting a HOLD signal to the HOLD terminal 8 from the outside. Further, at least a HOLD signalling line 9 and an address signalling line 4 and a data signalling line 5 of the microprocessor 1 are extended to the outside 13 of the body of the cooking oven.
